Semi‑Trailing Arm with Coil

Do helper springs change GVWR?
No. Helper springs do not increase your vehicle’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. Stay within manufacturer limits.
How long does installation take?
For an experienced DIYer or shop, typical time is 30–45 minutes per axle without welding or cutting.
Do I need an alignment afterward?
Usually not. If you replaced other suspension parts or see uneven wear, an alignment check is a good idea.
DIY vs pro install?
